What Is Shipping Protection? Why Should You Add It?

At BlueHaven Sport, we know that your gear is valuable and that outdoor adventure waits for no one. That’s why we offer optional shipping protection to give you peace of mind. With shipping protection, your order is covered in the rare event it is lost, stolen, or damaged during transit.

Adding shipping protection at checkout ensures fast, hassle-free resolution so you can focus on your next adventure instead of worrying about your shipment.

How Shipping Protection Works

  • Lost or Stolen Packages: If your package is marked delivered but goes missing, claims are reviewed within 5–15 calendar days from delivery.
  • Packages Stuck in Transit: Claims for packages delayed or lost in transit are reviewed within 7–30 calendar days from the last tracking update.
  • Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, take photos of the item and packaging and submit a claim. Claims for damaged shipments must be filed within 15 calendar days of delivery.

Fast and Easy Claims

Once you add shipping protection at checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions and a link to file a claim. You can also file a claim via the shipping protection app or website. You will need your order number and the email address used for the order. Most claims are reviewed and approved within 1–2 business days.

Replacements and Refunds

  • Protected orders will be replaced depending on stock availability.
  • Items that are unavailable will be refunded.
  • Shipping protection covers the cost of replacements, including shipping and taxes.

What Happens If You Don’t Add Shipping Protection?

Without shipping protection, any issues with lost, stolen, or damaged packages must be handled directly with the shipping carrier. In this case, reimbursement may be partial or denied, and resolution can take longer.
