At BlueHaven Sport, we prioritize the safe delivery of your kayaks and water sports gear. To ensure a smooth receiving experience, it’s essential to inspect your kayak upon delivery.

Inspect Your Kayak Before Accepting

Carefully check your kayak before signing for delivery to confirm that your order is complete and free from transit damage.

Important: If damage is not reported at the time of signing, or if the driver leaves without noting it, NexaVida Group cannot replace the kayak. You may be responsible for return shipping costs (typically $250–$400) or accepting the item as-is.

We offer optional shipping protection through our partnered shipping company. Prices vary by product. This option is available only at the time of purchase and is non-refundable.

How to Inspect a Delivered Kayak

Ask the driver to wait while you inspect the kayak thoroughly before signing. Unwrap your kayak and carefully check for major damage, including:

  • Holes
  • Dents
  • Cracks

If Major Damage Is Found:

  • Take clear photos.
  • Have the shipping company document the damage in writing before signing.
  • Return the damaged kayak to the driver.
  • Contact BlueHaven Sport Customer Service immediately at contact@bluehavensport.com.

If Minor Damage Is Found:

Minor damage includes scratches, scuffs, small dents, or broken parts. Steps:

  • Note the damage on the Bill of Lading.
  • Take photos, accept the shipment, and contact BlueHaven Sport Customer Service.
  • If you cannot accept minor damage, you may refuse the shipment.

How to Submit a Shipping Damage Claim

  • Click the Submit Damage Claim link.
  • Fill out the form and upload photos.
  • Our customer service team will respond within 3–5 business days.

Concealed or Delayed Damage

If you cannot fully inspect at the time of delivery, write “Subject to Inspection” on the delivery receipt. This allows for a concealed damage claim, but it is not as strong as a claim documented at delivery.

If the kayak is delivered in your absence or without signature, the longer you wait, the harder it is to establish a claim.

Steps for Delayed Inspection:

  • Inspect the kayak thoroughly as soon as possible.
  • Take detailed photos and document any damage.
